The owner of this Grady 33′ knew that his fuel was probably bad after sitting for a year. After a quick fuel sample, we confirmed his thinking and prepared to remedy his problem.
We cleaned his fuel tank and removed a good amount of water contamination that entered the tank through a bad sender gasket seal. After removing all of the contamination, we pumped out the old fuel for disposal. A new sender gasket was promptly installed to help prevent future water contamination.
Note: If your boat has been sitting for a while, why not call us for a tank cleaning? It’s a great preventative maintenance measure and can even reduce the risk of costly engine damage.
