The owner of this well kept Leopard Powercat called us after he was experiencing clogging fuel filters. The two 100 gallon fuel tanks had not been cleaned in at least five years, and he wisely decided that it was time.
We entered the fuel tanks through the sender opening and vacuumed the tank floors. We were able to remove the heavy solids that were clogging the fuel filters. Furthermore no water was found, which is always good news in this humid Florida climate. The diesel fuel itself was then polished and returned to the tank.
Tip: Check the contents of your fuel filters regularly. They will usually give you a good indication of what’s inside of your tank. If you choose to ignore them, you may get an unpleasant surprise in the future.
